1. What this policy covers
This policy explains how PlayCanada.com uses cookies and similar technologies, what we currently use them for, and how you control them.
PlayCanada.com is owned and operated by Vectiq Inc., 1887 Whitney Mesa Dr #4032, Henderson, NV 89014, United States. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information generally, and our Terms of Use.
This policy applies to this website only. It does not apply to the websites of gambling operators, regulators or any other third party you reach through a link on this site — see section 6.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. It lets a site remember things between pages and between visits.
Cookies are described in two useful ways:
- First-party or third-party — a first-party cookie is set by the site you are visiting. A third-party cookie is set by a different organization whose content or service runs on that site.
- Session or persistent — a session cookie is deleted when you close your browser. A persistent cookie stays on your device for a set period, or until you delete it.
Websites also use technologies that behave like cookies without being cookies: pixels and tags (tiny invisible images or scripts that record that a page was loaded), and local storage (a larger store your browser keeps for a site). Where this policy says "cookies", it means all of these.
3. What we currently use
As at the date of this policy, PlayCanada does not set any cookies on your device when you browse the site, and does not run analytics, advertising, social-media or profiling technologies.
We state that plainly because it is unusual, and because it is the honest description of the site today. There is no tracking pixel, no analytics tag, no advertising identifier and no cross-site profiling on these pages.
Two narrow exceptions, neither of which involves tracking you:

If that changes — and section 4 explains why it probably will — we will update this policy and ask for your consent before anything non-essential loads.
4. What we may use in future, and the rule that governs it
As we rebuild the site we expect to introduce cookies in the categories below. We will not load anything outside the "strictly necessary" category until you have given consent, and we will update this policy to list each cookie before it goes live.

We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or share cookie data with gambling operators for their own marketing.
5. Consent — how it works and how to change your mind
Once non-essential cookies exist on this site, we will ask for your consent through a banner before any of them load. You will be able to:
- accept all, reject all, or choose by category
- change your choices at any time through the cookie settings link in our footer
- withdraw consent entirely, with the same ease you gave it
Rejecting non-essential cookies will not lock you out of the site or reduce the content you can read.
Global Privacy Control. Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of, or withdrawal of consent to, all non-essential cookies, and act on it automatically without you having to do anything else.
6. Operator links and third-party sites
PlayCanada earns money from affiliate links to gambling operators — this is explained in section 5 of our Terms of Use.
When you click a link to an operator, you leave PlayCanada and that operator's own cookies and tracking apply. The operator receives the technical information your browser sends to any website you visit, including your IP address, and applies its own cookie policy and consent process. We have no control over those cookies and cannot switch them off for you. Read the operator's cookie and privacy policies before using its site.
The same applies to any regulator, responsible-gambling service or news source we link to.
7. How to control cookies in your browser
Independently of anything on this site, your browser gives you control. You can block cookies, delete existing ones, block third-party cookies only, or browse in a private window. Look for "Cookies", "Privacy", "Site data" or "Tracking" in your browser's settings — the current instructions are maintained by each browser maker:
- Google Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
- Safari — Settings → Privacy
- Microsoft Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions
- Mozilla Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of this or any other site working properly. Deleting cookies also deletes any cookie preference you have saved with us, so you will be asked again on your next visit.
8. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy whenever we add, remove or change a cookie, and the "Last updated" date will change with it. Where a change means we need your consent, we will ask for it before the change takes effect.
